Bryan Thompson, Head Boys' Varsity Coach
This is Coach Thompson's second year with the Mission Viejo team. Previous to coaching our team, he was the Laguna Varsity Lacrosse team's first coach, where he served for seven years. He led the team to victory at the Great Western Indoor Lacrosse Tournament in 2001, where he was also named Coach of the Year by his peers. This is the first time a team from Orange County ever took top honors at the tournament. Prior to graduating from Saddleback College and playing in the Orange County Mens Lacrosse Club, Coach Thompson played defense for four years at El Toro High School where he was a three time all-star.

Renate Schmidt, Head Girls' Varsity Coach
Coach Schmidt has coached varsity soccer, swimming, cross country and volleyball. She has also been an athletic trainer for a boys' lacrosse team. She's taught math for the past 16 years and after six years at MVHS, she somehow manages five geometry classes for freshman and sophomores. Sports have been a big part of her life and she currently enjoys playing soccer. She's looking forward to participating in the sports program and giving back to sports what she's received for so many years.

Paul Brambilla, Head Boys' JV Coach
Coach Brambilla started playing lacrosse in high school back in Long Island. He was starting goalie all four years he attended Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. After moving to Hawaii, he played on the Honolulu Lacrosse Club. He helped start the lacrosse program at Punahou High School in the early 90's and was their first coach. He coached the El Toro High School team from 1994-96. This is his second year with the Mission Viejo team. He's looking forward to working with the boys' junior varsity team on another great year.

Janet Glynn, Assistant Girls' Coach
This is Coach Glynn's third year coaching for the girls' team She also has experience coaching girls softball, boy's t-ball and boy's Little League baseball in both the assistant and head coach role. Janet's philosophy toward leading young athletes is to focus on the fundamentals of the game, the importance of TEAM and to have FUN.

Zach Pasqualetto, Assistant Varsity Boys' Coach
Coach Pasqualetto is a graduate of Mission Viejo High School, class of 2005, where he played on the Mission Viejo Lacrosse team his senior year. Prior to that, he played attack three years on the Trabuco Lacrosse team where he helped lead the team to the 2004 OCLA Tournament Division B championship. This is his second year coaching the Mission Viejo Lacrosse Club, but he has also coached the Rancho Santa Margarita Junior High School team for several years. He is currently studying at Saddleback College.

Bryce Gerard, Assistant Boys' JV Coach
Coach Gerard played lacrosse for the Mission Viejo Lacrosse Club during his junior and senior years at MVHS. He played for the Orange County All Stars team in the San Diego tournament. In addition to his time as a player, he also coached the La Paz Intermediate lacrosse team during their inaugural year. He graduated from MVHS in 2006 and is currently attending Saddleback College.
