Ryan Brent, Head Boys Varsity Coach
Coach Brent is a Mission Alumni,
graduating in 2004. He was a 4 time all-county player
in high school. His high school career culminated in
his senior year where he was named a US Lacrosse All-American
as well as being invited to the All-American Senior Showcase
game to play for the West team. Coach Brent has a successful
college career as well, leading the UCSB Gauchos to a
WCLL title and 2 MCLA National Tournament appearances.
In college at UCSB, he played for 2 time Coach of the
Year, former LA Riptide Offensive Coordinator, and current
Towson University O-Coordinator Mike Allen. Coach Brent
has coached at the middle school level for RSM Intermediate,
St. Marys and All Angels. He was also the Diablos Assistant
Varsity Coach last year as the the Diablos won their
first ever South Coast League Title. Ryan hopes to use
his success as a player and coach to carry on the Diablo
tradition of excellence.

Travis Mowry, Head Boys Junior Varsity Coach
Coach
Mowry is also a MVHS Alumni in the class of 2004. Travis
was a four time Orange County All Star in HS as
a Midfielder. In addition to his high school accomplishments,
Coach Travis was also selected to the USA U-25 Team and
was selected as Team Captain. Travis has an extensive
coaching background as he was the Assistant Varsity Coach
at J Serra Catholic in 2007 and 2008. St. Anne's Coach,
winning championships at the 5th-6th and 7th-8th Grade
level. Travis plans on bringing the Diablo Tradition
and spirit along with his prior coaching achievements
to Mission to help the program grow to greater lengths.

Renate Schmidt, Head Girls Varsity
Coach
This is Coach Schmidt's fourth year
as our head girls' varsity coach. She has also coached
varsity soccer, swimming, cross country and volleyball.
She has also been an athletic trainer for a boys' lacrosse
team. She's taught math for the past 18 years and after
eight years at MVHS, she somehow manages five geometry
classes for freshman and sophomores. Sports have been a
big part of her life and she currently enjoys playing soccer.
She's looking forward to participating in the sports program
and giving back to sports what she's received for so many
years.

Cressita Bowman, Assistant Girls
Coach
Cressita Bowman is from Dallas Texas.
She graduated from Lynchburg College in 2006 with a BA
in Communications and a Business Minor. At Lynchburg,
she played both field hockey and lacrosse all four years
and was an Academic All American every season. Cressita
was captain for lacrosse her junior and senior years.
She traveled to Prague to play lacrosse and was named
MVP in the Prague Cup. upon graduating, she returned
to her hometown and taught and coached field hockey,
soccer and lacrosse at Episcopal School of Dallas. Her
most proud coaching accomplishment is leading the team
to their best season and best achievement of third in
the State as a first year head coach. Since, Cressita
has relocated to California and has been working with
the La Paz Storm fall lacrosse teams. She is excited
and eager to be coaching for Mission Viejo HS and has
high hopes for the team and the upcoming season. Go Diablos!
